Job Description

A Controller is needed to oversee all financial, accounting, and human resource activities.  This is a Direct Hire, first shift position.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, reconciliations of accounts, and general ledger analysis
  • Monitor the financial performance of the company, cash flow management, and monthly journal entries
  • Manage the preparation of employee payroll, employee benefit plans and on-boarding
  • Assist in the creation of the annual budget and forecast
  • Liaison to external CPAs for annual compilation and explain variations to actual
  • Provide additional reporting and analysis as needed to help drive business results
  • Participate in the development and support of the company's strategic plans
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Must have Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
  • Must have a minimum of 6 years accounting experience; within a private company and/or in a manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Must have a solid understanding of financial accounting standards and GAAP
  • CPA, CMA, or MBA Credentials are preferred
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access and ERP
  • Must have excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Must be self-motivated, a team player, with the ability to pay a high attention to detail, stay focused while handing interruptions, meet deadlines, and always be professional and respectful
