Shipping Agent

If you're looking for an exiting opportunity, please keep reading!  A local manufacturing company is seeking a Shipping Agent to pick, pack, and ship products and also load all outgoing freight on the appropriate carriers at the time of pickup.  You will work Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Job Duties:

• Monitor and analyze order reports, create pick documents, properly package items to be shipped, and ensure all packages contain a customer inventory label or barcode label
• Process all shipments in our ERP system to generate necessary shipping labels and packing slips
• Verify all shipments to the order details and ensure all good are packaged and shipped in excellent condition
• Generate commercial documents for all international shipments 
• Organize outgoing palletized shipments within designated shipping lanes and load all outgoing freight in the carrier at the assigned pickup time
• Report any missing or lost inventory, along with any shipping related problems, to shipping logistics coordinator and warehouse management
• Keep the working area clean and organized at all times, obey all warehouse safety guidelines and protocols, wear appropriate personal protective equipment, report any safety hazards, and participate in safety training programs
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED
• Must have at least 1 year experience in a Shipping and Warehouse environment
• Must have the ability to operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment; Forklift certification is preferred but not required
• Must be proficient using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Dynamics NAV, or similar ERP System
• Must be able to pay a high attention to detail, be self-motivated, and able to stand for long periods of time
• Must have strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
• Must be able to work within a team, as well as, independently
• The ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds is needed
