Our client, a vertically integrated cannabis operator is seeking a new Post Harvest Manager for their high-volume facility in Chicago area. This person will support all post-harvest operations from drying and trimming through packaging and delivery. They will also ensure that the department is compliant with all local and state laws as well as company policies and procedures.

Job Duties 
  • Responsible for management of post-harvest team including leads and agents
  • Manage and coordinate post-harvest, cure, processing and packaging operations including: daily activities, supply requests, equipment requirements, training/development, schedules, personnel and quality assurance 
  • Record individual & team KPI’s and perform data analysis to identify issues and opportunities for process improvements
  • Track and manage all product/biomass adjustments in order to minimize movement and loss
  • Assist the Fulfilment and Logistics coordinator with ensuring all dispensary &/or wholesale orders have been manifested and fulfilled
  • Responsible for creating and implementing necessary standard operating procedures, logs, and best practices in concert with the Quality & Compliance manager
  • Complete required documents and real time tracking/receiving system information by product and associated threshold to ensure complete operational visibility 
  • Management of state traceability program (Biotrack THC) for all harvested cannabis and product inventory to ensure accuracy and maintain compliance so that all reports are pulling correct data
  • Work with the Quality & Compliance Manager and various others, to manage the weekly inventory audits ensuring proper reporting is sent to all appropriate state departments
  • Assist the Quality & Compliance Manager with overseeing all testing events and confirm all lab results are within the accepted variance allowed by the state department 
  • Ensure all finished product and biomass material is counted and sealed prior to storage
  • Provide coaching and direction concerning operational and personnel issues

Education, Experience, & Other Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in plant sciences and/or agriculture related disciplines preferred 
  • 2 years’ experience in post-harvest cannabis operations 
  • Ability to manage team members and provide day-to-day supervision 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications 
  • Working knowledge with Biotrack/State Inventory Tracking System
 
Compensation: $70,000 – $80,000
