Busser Job Description:

Position Title: Busser

FLSA Classification: Non-exempt

Reports To: General Manager

Department: Front of House

Job Summary:

The Busser is responsible for ensuring a clean and organized dining area, providing exceptional guest service, and supporting the FOH team to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests. The Busser must work efficiently and effectively to keep the dining area running smoothly and support the servers in delivering high-quality service to guests.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None

Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities:

·       Ensure a clean and organized dining area, including clearing and resetting tables, chairs, and place settings.

·       Assist servers with the delivery of food and beverages to guests.

·       Maintain a high level of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the dining area.

·       Assist with opening and closing duties, including the cleaning and maintenance of the dining area.

·       Communicate effectively with FOH and kitchen staff to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests.

·       Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

·       High school diploma or equivalent required.

·       Previous experience as a busser or related position preferred.

Work Environment:

·       The environment requires the team member to work inside in a temperature-controlled environment.

·       Required to work weekends and irregular hours.

·       Requires working under stressful conditions.

·       Must be able to work safely in a noisy area.

Physical Requirements:

·       Must be physically able to stand for long periods, up to 8 hours a day.

·       Must be able to work on your feet for extended periods.

·       Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.

·       Requires maintenance of the dining area, including moving tables and chairs.
