Retention Counselors/Advisors will assist with the implementation and evaluation of retention activities in their college, school, or institute. Retention Counselors/Advisors work with their respective Retention Coordinators and/or Deans to implement the retention model for their college, school, or institute.

Education:
The successful candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from an accredited college or university.
Experience:
A minimum of two (2) years of related experience is required.

Job Duties
Retention Counselors/Advisors will assist with the implementation and evaluation of retention activities in their college, school, or institute. Retention Counselors/Advisors work with their respective Retention Coordinators and/or Deans to implement the retention model for their college, school, or institute.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Advise students about academic requirements for the program of major and selection of courses
- Assist students with information about campus resources available to meet their needs in addition to academic resources
- Maintain accurate records of interactions with students via Starfish
- Teach Freshman Orientation for students
- Collect data and provide an analytical report at the end of each semester
- Engage in staff meetings and professional development activities
- Performs other duties as assigned
