Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Housekeeper Lead.
Primary Job Duties: Under general supervision, functions as a lead worker in maintaining building interiors, ensuring cleanliness, orderliness and attractive conditions are maintained in assigned areas. Monitors work progress and reports to supervisor. This position performs all housekeeper duties as required and may be required to move furniture and equipment.
Minimum Qualifications: One year housekeeping experience required. Skill in the use and maintenance of housekeeping tools and equipment required. Ability to read, write, and perform arithmetic calculations; to operate assigned tools and housekeeping equipment; to work with chemicals and cleaning solutions; to understand and follow directions; to lift and transport supplies and refuse; to wear and work in personal protective equipment; to effectively provide guidance and training to others; ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications: Two years housekeeping experience preferred. High School Diploma or GED preferred.
This is a full-time, non-exempt, State position with a full benefits package. Starting salary is $15.32 per hour, which is approximately $31,953 annually. The schedule associated with this position is eligible for shift differential of an additional $1.20 per hour. For new employees and promotions, there is a 2.5% salary increase after satisfactorily satisfying the probationary period. The primary schedule is tentatively M-F 4:00pm-12:30am with occasional weekends required. This position is considered essential and will be called upon to provide emergency coverage when necessary. Work schedule or area may vary based on the needs of the University.
