Sidelines Sports Eatery & Pub – Host/Expo Job Description

Sidelines Sports Eatery & Pub, a great neighborhood pub with a sports theme, offers an extensive craft beer selection, great food and sports galore! We are seeking energetic and friendly Hosts/Expos to join our Team providing great food, drink and service that keep our guests coming back!

Host/Expo Position Summary:  A central customer service role at Sidelines, the Host/Expo smoothly combines communicating order information between FOH and BOH and greeting and seating our guests, setting the stage for their overall positive experience. Host/Expos control the seamless flow of Guests into the restaurant, while ensuring meals are served warm and “table ready”! 

Requirements/Qualifications:

A desire to help out where needed and work efficiently as part of a team.

Passion for providing extraordinary service.

Making sure the plate is dressed and garnished correctly and free from smudges or spills for guest presentation.

The ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen.

A passion for cooking with a keen eye for freshness, quality and cleanliness.

Professional appearance, and positive, warm attitude.

Good conversational skills, with an outgoing personality.

Able to take direction, multi-task, and demonstrate organizational skills.

Must be dependable, reliable, and responsible.

Must work well in a Team environment.

High School graduate or equivalent is preferred.

Restaurant experience is preferred; we are willing to train.

Desire to grow and learn within the restaurant and hospitality industry.

Dependable, reliable means of transportation.

Reliable and flexible work schedule: days, nights, weekends, holidays.

Able to take direction, multi-tasking, organizational skills.

Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
