Job Description
POSITION SUMMARYSpectrum Health Insights & Analytics (I&A) seeks a Lead to join our growing team. I&A is responsible for discovering and embedding the objective consumer, market and competitive insights that enable Spectrum Health’s vision of personalized health.
Example responsibilities for an I&A Lead Insights Analyst include brand building (e.g. copy testing, brand equity tracking, perception mapping), optimization (e.g. marketing mix analysis, pricing, elasticity) and innovation (e.g. concept testing, ethnography, pilot testing). The Lead will be depended upon to leverage primary consumer research experience as well as secondary data mining to design research plans and synthesize diverse learning into streamlined, simple and persuasive stories. This individual will join an I&A function with diverse work experience both in- and outside of healthcare and a common passion to objectively advocate for the consumer.
Essential Functions:Cross-functional collaborators with Marketing, Strategy, Operations among others
Mentors for Senior Analyst and Analyst I&A team members
Curious about business rationale and objectives to inform research plans that effectively and efficiently answer the explicit and implicit question(s)
Strong coalition builders and adept at organizational agility to navigate the formal and informal channels of the system
Independent to manage day-to-day activities including the successful drafting, completing and disseminating insights and implications to stakeholders including senior leadership
Fiscally responsible to manage research investment and budgeting
Creative problem solvers to identify and overcome logistical barriers and information gaps
Demonstrate the ability to understand the business problem, creatively discover the solution and then educate a cross-functional audience on the key insights and implications
Technical expertise in quantitative and qualitative consumer research (e.g. copy testing, custom surveying, innovation/concept testing, pricing analysis, market mix analysis, U&A’s, segmentation, consumer panels etc)
Ability to convert complexity into simplicity as well as the ability to combine data, sound judgement and experience to make clear and effective recommendations in complex and ambiguous situations
Being an active, effective and empathetic listener and collaborator
Required Bachelor's Degree Business, Marketing, Communications or related field
Master's Degree Preferred
10 years of relevant experience Market Research, Consumer Insight or related area Required
