Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented individual to join our team as a Media Sales Consultant who is a Self-starter eager to hunt for new business. The right candidate should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and can perform the following tasks:

Responsibilities:

• Perform telephone and in-person cold calling to generate leads and establish new business relationships. This includes reaching out to potential clients proactively to initiate discussionsand explore opportunities.

• Develop and present compelling marketing solutions for various channels, including social media marketing, print advertising campaigns, event sponsorships, targeted digital marketing, and more. Emphasis is placed on crafting persuasive proposals tailored to meet the specific needs and objectives of clients.

• Collaborate with clients to understand their marketing needs and goals and provide customized recommendations and proposals. This involves actively engaging with clients to gain insights into their business objectives and marketing challenges, and then offering tailored solutions to address these requirements effectively.

• Meet revenue goals and achieve sales targets within specified timeframes. This includes setting clear revenue targets and actively working towards achieving them through strategic sales efforts and effective pipeline management.

• Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and exceptional customer service. This involves fostering long-term partnerships with clients by delivering value-added services, addressing their concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction with the solutions provided.

• Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging marketing techniques to stay ahead of the competition and provide clients with cutting-edge solutions. This includes continuously learning about the latest developments in the marketing industry and incorporating relevant insights into sales strategies.

• Prepare regular sales reports and provide feedback on market trends, competitor activities, and potential opportunities. This involves analyzing sales data and market trends to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for growth, and then providing actionable insights tostakeholders.

• Work closely with the team on the Nation’s #1 African American Newspaper Company to develop innovative strategies and campaigns to drive business growth. This includes collaborating with internal teams to leverage the strengths of the company's brand and assets to create impactful marketing initiatives that resonate with clients and drive results.

• Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network and generate new business opportunities. This involves actively participating in industry events to expand the company's network, build relationships with potential clients, and identify new leads for business development opportunities.
