Building Maintenance Mechanic

The Blade is looking for an experienced Building Maintenance Mechanic who will be responsible for performing various plumbing system maintenance, repairs, modifications, and installations; maintaining HVAC equipment including boilers, steam traps, humidifiers, chillers, towers, valves and VAVs; calibration of pneumatic and electronic controls; and maintaining acceptable building conditions within the work environment. Candidate must have flexible schedule with ability to work primarily days, with nights or weekends as necessary.

Ideal candidate should possess the following:
· Strong mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and testing systems
· Knowledge and experience with HVAC, chillers, boilers, towers, plumbing repairs, and plumbing codes
· Ability to handle necessary repairs and maintenance.
· Experience performing general maintenance work on building.
· Calibration and troubleshooting experience on pneumatic and electronic controls.
· Experience with building controls (Metasys)
· Proficient with MS Word, MS Excel, and email
· Relevant education in plumbing or 5 years’ experience working as a maintenance plumber in an industrial
environment.
· Problem solving and organizational skills.
· A valid driver’s license.
· Welding proficiency a plus
