Job Description
Summary
The primary function of this position is to manage all capital projects related to Education & General Facilities, Residential Life, Missouri Unions, Mizzou Rec and Campus Dining Services and related budgets, and capital plans for each of these departments. This position will also manage the Facility Consulting Services database to establish the facilities conditions needs index for all campus buildings and create facilities review report documenting repair needs for each facility.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
Initiate an estimated $15 million worth of capital projects related to Education & General Facilities, Residential Life, Missouri Unions, Mizzou Rec and Campus Dining Services and related budgets, advise and manage five-year capital plans for each of these departments.
Initiate all projects, work with Planning, Design & Construction to advise through project design processes, consultant selections and oversight of project construction process.
Work with accounting to ensure accuracy of expenditures and project closeout, approval of contractor payment vouchers throughout the construction process.
Exterior Paint Plan
Develop and maintain five-year exterior preservation plan as it relates to painting and exterior finishes.
Campus Roof Plan
Responsible for maintaining the campus roof replacement plan to include initiating and managing approximately $1.5 million of roof repairs and replacements annually.
Facility Consulting Services
Work with Engage consulting firms to inspect a percentage of buildings annually.
Update database for all capital projects completed within the past fiscal year.
Run reports to be distributed to administration for decision making and funding as it relates to facility maintenance.
Streets and Sidewalks
Maintain the integrity of campus streets and sidewalks to ensure safety of the community.
Responsible for identifying and initiating repair projects to address deficiencies, including complete street overlaying projects, maintaining striping, crosswalks, etc.
Campus Card Access
Initiate new electronic door locking and card access system projects annually until entire campus has been secured via electronic door locking system.
Evaluate the needs of each of the facilities and designate the hardware package associated with each facility.
Exterior Lighting
Identify and initiate lighting repair/replacement project for all campus owned streets and sidewalks.
Elevators
Identify and initiate modernization projects for the campus' elevators annually.
Insurance Claims
Responsible for processing insurance claims for Campus Facilities, providing necessary communication and paperwork for the insurance provider. This position will be the main point of contact between the client, leadership, and the insurance provider. This position will create the plans needed to ensure that the affected space is returned to normal operation, engaging mitigation crews, contractors, and University staff.

7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Monday through Friday
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 6 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Preferred Qualifications
Must maintain a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, to include Excel and have the ability to learn other University-related software programs
Five years of experience in construction industry as it relates to project management, carpentry, roofing, masonry, structural and civil categories.
A valid driver's license which will allow the legal operation of a motor vehicle in the State of Missouri is required.
Anticipated Hiring Range
Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000 annually
