Job Summary

The Campus Store is seeking a Business Process Intern, who works directly under the Administrative Manager to map the University Campus Stores internal workflows as the store transitions from a legacy business platform to a modern retail platform, Oracle NetSuite.

This position will work with a team consisting of various interns and Management to assist Campus Store Leadership to help map and document various processes of our business and identify areas of improvement and suggest possible improvements. This position will examine, review, document and suggest efficiencies in various areas of procurement, receiving, data entry, fulfillment, and other areas within the Campus Store to ensure staff is working collaboratively and efficiently throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

Analyze workflows by observing and documenting how tasks are being performed.

Identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks that exist in current workflows to determine where processes can be improved, or tasks can be streamlined.

Prioritize critical tasks for documentation.

Involve stakeholders or subject matter experts throughout the process to receive input and understand procedures.

Working with the various work teams, develop clear and concise procedures directly related to industry and NetSuite best practices.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be a current University of Utah student.

Preferences

Demonstrated leadership in work and/or academics.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact comfortably at all levels of the organization including senior level leaders.

Detail oriented, highly organized, and adaptable

Ability to work independently and deliver results

Strong project management and problem-solving skills

Must possess a strong customer service orientation with high sense of urgency in meeting goals and deadlines.

Ability to influence and think creative and strategically.

Ability to analyze and problem solving.

Preference will be given to students with related technical coursework and/or professional experience including degree programs that focus on business or project management.
