Field Geologist

Position Responsibilities:

As a Field Geologist, you will play an important role in the exploration, delineation, development, and production of uranium resources in Wyoming. Utilizing your expertise in geology and geosciences, this role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in fieldwork, geological mapping, and mineral resource assessment within the dynamic environment of exploration for and delineation of uranium roll-front deposits and uranium extraction.  Specific responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Work closely with senior geology staff conducting detailed field assessments and characterization of subsurface mineralization within geological formations suitable for ISR uranium extraction.
• Provide support during drilling operations, collect and describe geological samples, and ensure adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations throughout the drilling process.
• Collect and analyze geological samples from drill cuttings and drill cores and provide detailed lithologic descriptions. Interpret geological data to evaluate the extent of uranium deposits within the targeted formations.
• Support environmental compliance and permitting efforts with technical reporting, data management, geological maps, and field observations.
• Assist in the development of geological models to estimate uranium resource calculations.
• Analyze and manage geologic data from field activities, including geophysical data, geochemical analyses, drill core and drill cutting samples.

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• The successful candidate will be required to submit to mandatory drug and alcohol testing prior to employment.

Qualifications: 

• A minimum BS in Geology or Geological Engineering; experience in the mining industry with relevant experience in mining a plus.
• Understanding of hydrologic concepts and geologic controls as they relate to uranium deposition and mining.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet programs, and experience with geospatial software a plus.
