Assistant Manager Summary:  WellBorn Management is seeking an Assistant Manager with demonstrated leadership qualities, preferably from the Hospitality industry. The Assistant Manager will manage the hotel in the absence of the General Manager and is responsible for managing the daily operations. The ideal candidate brings their best every day and leads knowing the value of a productive team working together. The Assistant Manager consistently leads the hotel team in supporting our mission of creating as exceptional guest experience.

Responsibilities: 

Instructs, trains, coaches and develops the hotel team to create an environment where enthusiastic people are recognized and rewarded for achieving organizational and personal goals.

Assists the General Manager with the overall recruiting and hiring of hourly employees.

Ensures the appropriate staffing of hotel team to maximize guest service and sales efforts.

Works to maximizes sales and profits of the hotel.

Responsible for cash controls and enforcement of Company policies.

Responsible for ordering, accounting and maintenance of all hotel inventories.

Assures that all safety and security procedures are followed within the hotel.

Resolves guest complaints; trains team in resolving issues as well.

Develops team building effectiveness skills; leads and works with team to achieve hotel goals.

Values training and adheres to WellBorn’s training systems.

Requirements: 

Minimum of one or more years’ experience as Assistant General Manager preferred.

Communicate effectively in all situations.

Ability to manage, train and motivate a diverse team.

Advanced education preferred, must demonstrate knowledge of the hospitality industry.

Requires good verbal and written communication skills.

Must possess computational ability.

Must possess Excel skills.

Must possess computer skills.

Possess the ability to supervise situations and accomplish goals on a timely basis.
